“Welcome to the New Power Generation,” announced Prince in “Eye No,” the opening song on his 1988 album Lovesexy. Two years later, the Graffiti Bridge soundtrack contained “New Power Generation” with a group of the same name credited as background vocalists. The New Power Generation was featured on Prince’s Diamonds and Pearls (1991) and The Love Symbol Album (1992).

Adrian Crutchfield & Marcus Anderson Performance & Signing

Adrian Crutchfield & Marcus Anderson were an integral part of Prince's New Power Generation band and were featured on Prince's last released album "Hit n Run Phase Two." The Electric Fetus is pleased to welcome both musicians to the store for a free performance and signing from noon to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1st.

Adrian is known as the last horn-man to perform and record with Prince. He is known around the world for is neo-soul sound merging jazz with today's pop and hip hop. Along with Prince, he has toured with Lionel Ritchie, Anthony Hamilton, Bette Midler & CeeLo Green. His newest album "LEAP" was released January, 2017.

Marcus is a world-renowned saxophone player and a sought after solo artist with 10 studio albums to date. He has accompanied other artists such as CeeLo Green, Stevie Wonder, Sheila E. and has appeared with headliners on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Arsenio Hall & Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Marcus will sign copies of his "Limited Edition" CD.

Formed in the wake of success of Prince’s smash hit film ‘Purple Rain’ fDeluxe (FKA ‘The Family’) featured three former members of his Royal Badness’ nemesis The Time (Jellybean Johnson, Jerome Benton and “St Paul” Peterson) along with sax player Eric Leeds and Susannah Melvoin, twin sister of Revolution guitarist Wendy. This will be the first time in 7 years that the entire band will be performing together.

Freak Juice hailing from Tulsa, OK is the brain child of Tori Ruffin of Morris Day and The Time/Fishbone and is a rock, jazz, hip hop, reggae, blues, and improv extravaganza. They made their Twin Cities debut in 2016 at MMC and we are thrilled to have them back! They’re coming on a fonky pimp bus so please come to party!
